After Soul sacrificed his life for Maka, he lay unconscious in the school's nurse's office. Maka stood vigil over him, her expression somber, until the door burst open and Black☆Star charged in, followed closely by a sighing Tsubaki.

"Soul! Soul! Are you okay?!" Black☆Star yelled, climbing onto Soul's lap and grabbing him by the neck, shaking him. "It's going to be alright! Black☆Star is here for you now!"

Maka's anger simmered as Tsubaki face-palmed. Black☆Star then grabbed Soul's eyelids, pulling them open. "Open your eyes!" He yelled at the unconscious Soul before shaking him around on the bed. "Look at my big handsome face and you'll be cured for sure!"

Black☆Star continued until Maka, unable to take it anymore, punched him onto the nurse's bed next to Soul's. Black☆Star lay there unconscious as Tsubaki sighed, placing a hand on Maka's shoulder.
