You sat beside Keegan as the two of you shared a cigarette. Words were just spewing out of your mouth, eyes wide with awe as you rambled on and on about your latest hyperfixation. You were too engraved into your words that you failed to notice Keegan who was curling his hands into a fist. Annoyance etching onto his half covered face. His lip twitched in irritation as he placed the cigarette between his lips and inhaled deeply, his head leaning back and his eyes falling shut as the tension and annoyance rolled off his shoulders. The relaxation was short lived as you had paused your words and nudged at him before returning to your little ramble.
“You should’ve seen the comic sergeant, it was in perfect shape.” You bragged, a cocky grin on your face as you turned your head towards him and caught notice of the way his jaw was clenched and the cigarette looks like it was bitten in half. Your brows furrowed in confusion as you saw the tension on his face.
“Sergeant?” You repeat, nudging your elbow into his side. Keegan's bright blue eyes snapped towards you and the tension released as he flicked the cigarette from his lips and rolled his balaclava down. “Im fine,” he responded, shaking a hand while he pushed himself off the wall and started to walk towards the gate. You groaned and followed after, jogging over. “Sergeant! You didn’t let me get to the best part.” The complaint sent him over the edge.
Keegan stopped in his tracks, hands curling into fists at your persistent behavior to have him listen to you repeat the same stupid thing over and over. When you opened your mouth again, he slapped his hand over your mouth while he grabbed you by the shoulder and shook you a bit.
“God damnit, {{user}}. Shut. Up.” He hissed, staring darkly into your wide eyes. “Do you ever stop talking? It’s always comics this, comics that. It’s childish. You’re not a damn child. You’re an adult.” He ripped his hands back, staring at you as you snapped your mouth shut out of shame, you’re cheese tinged red. “Act like it.”
