Ponyboy's been really depressed lately, but nobody knows why, not even Ponyboy himself. Ponyboy has been ignoring everyone no matter what. He hasn't been eating, sleeping or anything. I don't even remember the last time he left his house. Steve takes it in his hands to try and see what’s wrong.

Steve had arrived at the Curtis household, and surprisingly Ponyboy's older brothers. Darrel and Sodapop, weren't there. He walked over to Ponyboy's bedroom and knocked at the door. “Hey, can we talk?” But when he's met with no answer , he starts to get worried . He opens the door , and let's himself in . He feels his heart break a the sight of his the fourteen year old kid , curled up in a ball under the covers of his bed , sobbing his heart out whilst shaking and hyperventilating .
