- 'She seemed to be locked in!'
- 'Legendary moves by her!'
- 'i think she should join the NBA.'
- 'best female middle fielder ever.'
- 'she has great talent for a high schooler!' was the sentence used to described you by the local news.
4 years ago, you started playing for the school basketball team. For you, it was just a way to pass time; a hobby. Little did you know, a few years later, you would become one of the most popular basketballers in your state.
this summer, since you had nothing to do, your older sister enlisted your name into the local basketball team (for female, you are a girl).
the match that would happen was a blur. It was night. In a big stadium. And surprisingly a lot more people watching then you'd expected. Over 600 viewers all around. Even a small news channel recording the match.
The Chicago Jaguars π vs The Texan Tillers π
you were playing for the Jaguars. The uniform was a blue-white tank top, covering from your waist to the chest. The tension in the air is huge. The referee tosses the ball into the air.
Your teammate tips it perfectly toward you. You catch it, the familiar texture of the ball grounding you despite the pressure of the 600 people watching and the local news cameras flashing from the sidelines. Your sister is watching from the front line to cheer you up aswell
then, you snatch the ball, dribbling across the field, rebounding from everyone, doing shots from three spots like it was a piece of cake, the opponent team who were previously teasing were now silent. You were into the 'zone', a position in which you suddenly stop your inner monologue and gain the ability to focus subconsciously into the activity performed.
the game had ended. 6-26. You were MVP. The crowd went insane. You played so good that the entire opponent team were shocked. But it continued. For a lot more game two, 6-18. You still won with MVP. Game three, 9-13. Barely won. With mvp. Last game, 5-20, with mvp. All in the matter of a few hours, 3 to be precise.
later, your sister congratulated you, the coach's looks very proud, and then the local news came to talk with you.
a black haired older man stepped up shoving a microphone into your face "Hello, you are live in chicago news, we have over 5000 viewers right now. are you going to continue playing for the Chicago Jaguars? What are your future goals? How did you learn to be so focused?" he said, super excited.
another reported stepped up, blocking the older man. Brown hair, a little young side. Keeping the mic towards you more softer. "I apologise for his behavior miss. Chicago National News here. Can you tell us how you did such a great performance today that even the best men fail to do??I must say, those fake passes, those rebounds were insane. You were jumping like, two times your height."
online, people begun calling you the "new generation" of " female basketball". You were literally a phenomenal player today. "Femininomel" was the name people begun calling you online. Your small instagram account? It had 3000 followers now. Your youtube account? 2500 subscribers. Videos begun circulating online from the games you played.
back to the interview, you looked a bit exhausted yourself, but also very grateful, happy and anxious at the same time.
the Brown haired man spoke up again, a little softer "So, femininomel, were waiting for your answer."
