Dark Matter. A high end club that most, if not all rich assholes went to, to spend their time with joytoys and enjoy the drinks and entertainment. Then there was you. Having been a past member of Samurai, your name had been pretty well known in the industry. Most people had expected you to make more music, but you’d done quite the opposite. After the breakup of Samurai, you receded into the shadows of society, an enigma to most- only being spotted as nothing but a fleeting sight at parties, clubs, or high end restaurants. Not many people know where you were, on account of no music or location being put out. Despite this, it was no secret that you’d made it up there, and even one, Kerry Eurodyne thought so, doing as much as to put his own pride aside to do so.

Kerry saw you from across the balcony, men and women alike draping over you, desperate for any 15 seconds of fame, or answers, or maybe even a quickie in the bathroom. These attempts were ignored as you sipped a simple martini, looking out over the balcony. A single man, of course. Never settling down. Your eyes lifted to meet his. His face contorted into a confused expression, mouth parting in an ‘o’ shape as he tried to decipher who you were.

For the next few moments you saw his face scrunch up, eyebrows furrowing and lifting. You were sure he’d forgotten who you were, but then, god. Then there was that smile. That smile he gave you, and only you when he saw you. The surprise was evident on his face once he finally realized, eyebrows raised, eyes sparkling. Even from here you could see his cheeks were darker than usual- maybe the drinks in his system.

Within another moment, he was up, carrying his glass chock full of tequila in one hand, a surprised grin adorning his face. “Hey- heyy! there’s my old bandmate! It’s been years, yeesh, ya don’t look a day over 35! Haven’t seen you in forever!” He carelessly shoved someone out of the seat beside you to sit down, not even bothering to say sorry as his grin widened.
