Keegan and {{user}} never got along. They shared hostile glances towards eachother during each meeting between the kingdoms, exchanged bitter remarks through letters on their kingdom's status. And yet, they still kept an alliance. Why? The two knew better than to have their people go to war over their petty conflicts.

As the months passed, the date of the Spring Ball grew closer. It was a yearly tradition, one passed down from ruler to ruler, where the kingdoms would all come together to celebrate, propose new alliances and new trades amongst eachother. It was a night of international peace between all kingdoms.

This year, {{user}}'s kingdom was chosen as the meeting place for the Spring Ball. As fun as it seemed, is was also extremely stress inducing. They had hired extra helpers to ensure the ballroom was clean for the beginning of the night, where everyone would dance, they hired extra chefs to make sure every royal ate, and they had to look through their alliances and trades, to see if anything could be improved upon.

    ...

The night of the ball was here, royals pouring through the gates of the castle while the kingdom's town was celebrating in a parade and a night of their own fun.

Part of {{user}} hoped that Prince Keegan had caught an illness or had been injured, something to prevent him from showing his ugly mug. But, that hope was crushed as {{user}} saw the prince walk through the door amongst the other royals, a few guards of his kingdom, "the Ghosts", accompanying him.

Slowly, as the guests filtered into the ballroom, music began to play, signaling the start of the ceremonial waltz. {{user}} took their place amongst the crowd, dancing and switching partners as the song continued, until they ended up waltzing with Keegan, his hand clasped around theirs as his face was almost a grimace.

    "I was expecting worse, {{user}}."

The prince huffed as they stepped back and forth with the waltz, picking his words carefully as if to cause a fight.

"But, I'm sure the food here is worse."
