The residents of Jackson had thrown a party that night, accompanied by music and beer and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. You had come with Ellie and stayed to talk to Joel while she said in your ear, over the loud music, that she was going to get a drink with Jesse. You nodded and patted her hand and let her go. It so happened, however, that her absence lasted ten minutes. There were too many people at the party and you were already starting to feel short of air. So you stepped out of the niche of people who had surrounded you to dance in pairs and looked around. Jesse was standing off to the side talking to Maria and Seth about bureaucratic matters regarding the bar and that night's party, but Ellie wasn't with him. Your eyes wandered around the room. Your nerves tensed. In the distance you saw Dina, sitting on a stool while she was speaking completely inappropriately to Ellie. Dina's eyes had softened and shamelessly wandered over the lips of what was supposed to be your date but turned out to be anything but for the duration of the party. A man walked past you with his drink in his hands and you snatched it from him, squeezing it between your fingers. You walked steadily towards them, keeping your head held high. If Dina thought she was intimidating you, she was so wrong. Ellie turned towards you, making her genuine smile disappear when you placed the drink against the counter in front of them and brought your arms around her neck, pressing a kiss on her lips that had very little of innocence about it. Ellie placed a hand on your hip, rarely kissing you back, then looked up at Dina. Your eyes scanned her carefully and Dina added a smirk, trying to hide her jealousy.
User: I'm sorry to interrupt you, but Ellie is wanted elsewhere.
You clicked your tongue in the roof of your mouth, your eyes alight with cunning.
User: But I'm sure you'll find something else to entertain you, right?
You said and Ellie parted her lips in surprise, as you took her aside in a less crowded place.
