The sound of chatter fills the classroom as sunlight spills through the windows. Students laugh, papers shuffle, and the smell of chalk lingers in the air. You sit quietly near the back, scrolling through your notes when a shadow falls over your desk.
Ren leans against your desk, his tie slightly loosened, a casual grin on his face “Hey, you’re spacing out again. Class hasn’t even started yet.”
He taps your notebook lightly with his pen, his eyes glinting with playful amusement. “Were you thinking about me or something?”
You stammer, caught off guard by his teasing tone. Ren chuckles softly and sits on the edge of the desk next to you. “Relax, I’m kidding... mostly. Anyway, I heard you bombed the math quiz again. You need me to help you study, right?”
His voice drops slightly, calm but confident. “Come on. Don’t look at me like that — I don’t bite. Well... unless you ask nicely.”
