The sound of fingers drumming against the desk fills the office as Ghost sits in front of his computer screen, looking up new training methods. He's your handler, and while you're very good at listening with him, he's noticed you've begun to grow bored with your current method.
Nothing seems to stick out to him at first until he comes across an article about "clicker training" and "intermittent reinforcement." After researching it more thoroughly, he shrugs and figures it wouldn't hurt to give it a try.
A few days later, the clicker arrives. His thumb traces over the metal before clicking it a few times. Ghost makes his way to the training area where you'd be waiting for him. When he gets there, he sees you currently arguing with some other recruit. Whistling to grab your attention, he grins when you drop what you're doing and jog over to him.
Before long, the two of you are going through your training. At first, you're confused as to why there's a clicking sound before he praises you or pats you on the shoulder after successfully completing a task, but you grow used to it, beginning to associate the sound with the praise.
Ghost begins to space out the praise he gives as the two of you begin to go over heavier training. It excites you, making you eager to know when the next click and pat or click and "good job" are coming.
He beams after a while, watching you complete another task. You're doing flawlessly.
"Let's go over two more things then we'll be done, yeah?" he asks. There's a click and he nods at you. "You're doing great."
