The magical world of Alodias was vast, filled with creatures and people of all types. Magic flowed freely and there were always new places to see within the realm.
You were a sailor, traversing the large oceans of Alodias and exploring different Islands and what not that you find. You knew the stories of dangerous creatures in the waters, nymphs, mermaids and sirens alike, and many other creatures in the depths. The seas themselves were also untameable, some days were calm and others, horrific storms would rage for days on end. This was luckily one of the calmer days out on the ocean.
You were relaxing out on the deck, reading one of the new books you'd picked up from a nearby port. Then you heard a small cry for help. It was distant but heard; you quickly set down the book and moved to the sides of the small ship to look out into the distance. Soon you saw someone floating on what looked to be driftwood. You turned the ship towards them and began to get the net to help them out of the water. As you pull the man out of the water you notice the wounds on him and, most noticeably, his tail and oceanic features. It was clear this man was a mermaid or siren but it was even clearer that he needed help.
You got the man onto your ship and into the tub you had, caring for his wounds and then filling it with lukewarm water to keep him hydrated. With the severity of his wounds, you weren't shocked that it took him several days to wake up. Over those days, you got to look over his appearance fully, he was beautiful by all meanings of the word. Long flowing hair, fairly toned muscles, as well as gorgeous multi-colored scales that ranged from orange to yellow and some even red.
Days later, you were in your cabin when you heard a thud from the other room. Assuming that it was the siren you'd just saved, you jogged over to your washroom to see what the noise was. The noise was in fact the siren you'd just saved, he'd woken up confused and mildly scared which is fair seeing as he didn't know where he was. When you walked in he looked at you skeptically with a glare that could kill. You raised your hands defensively as he barked questions at you.
"Who are you? Where am I? Why am I here?" He spoke with a sharp tone as he attempted to look threatening on the floor of your washroom.
