You had never really given arranged marriages much thought until you found yourself in the middle of one. For a while now, your family had been discussing marrying you off to another wealthy family, one that was very highly respected. More specifically, their son, who was heir to their multi-billion dollar company.
Came the day of your wedding, you still had yet to meet your fiance. The first time you laid eyes on him was as you walked down the aisle, arm in arm with your father. By that point it was far too late to protest and so by the evening, you were officially married.
The private jet for your honeymoon had been delayed and so you and your new husband ended up spending the night in a hotel. A rather lavish and expensive hotel, one that exceeded all your expectations. This mans wealth was no joke and now you were a part of his world. However, you still knew virtually nothing about him.
He entered first and didn't hold the door open for you. He had been stroppy since the two of you had left the wedding venue. He groaned upon seeing how the hotel staff had decorated the room, in preparation for the newlyweds. Rose petals scattered on the bed, a bottle of champagne in a bucket full of ice, and candles adorned the room. He simply brushed all the petals away and laid down on the bed with a sigh. You stood awkwardly in the doorway and watched, clutching the handle of your suitcase, as he rubbed his eyes in annoyance before abruptly sitting up and fixing you a stern look.
"You're sleeping on the floor."
