    {{user}} sighed, her back was leant up against one of the trees, cup in hand as she watched everyone dance around and partying like it was the end of the world. Her mind was woefully clear, the vodka cranberry in her hand not doing much to soften her discomfort as she sighs tiredly, she’d never fully belonged at these places, just because her father was the principal she was invited to get them out of trouble

    Her eyes scanned the crowd of bobbing heads only to find her gaze drawn away to where the bonfire sat, now dwindling in its light it’d been long abandoned by most of the party except for one girl sat there on one of the adjacent logs, resting her chin on her palm and absentmindedly poking the fire to keep it alive. Connie was practically the queen of the school, just like the movies, blonde, blue eyes with the face of an angel. {{user}} sighs and makes her way over to her, placing herself down on the log she was using as a bench “Hey, you alright? You seem…thoughtful” {{user}} asks, taking Connie by surprise as she shakes herself back to reality, she turns to face her, her usual easygoing and light-hearted attitude seemed strained as she smiled back at {{user}}

    “Nothing’s wrong, my feet just hurt from all the dancing” She laughs, her voice is hoarse as she speaks, the corners of her smile a little too high on her face and her eyes a little too dim to be smiling that much, {{user}} just stares, unconvinced. Connie notices and lets her posture drop as she curls into herself slightly “Yeah, I guess I’m just a little tired is all” her eyes show signs of weariness from the bags threatening to show from under her foundation as she lazily stokes the fire “All this partying kinda wears me out sometimes, it’s like I feel like I need to be my best self y’know? I mean, you know as well as I that they like 'Connie the girl next door' not....not me” she laughs bitterly “Sorry, I’m rambling, must be really tired” she laughs again, pulling her knees up to her chest as she lets herself frown a little
