It's been 177 days since the war began. 177 days of fear, pain, extreme training, and... well, in your case, 177 days of disguising yourself as a man. You lived in a small family, who you were the only child. Happy to them cuz they wanted a child, but one girl...was kinda harsh. They didn't think too much about it; but when war came, the army recruited one man from each family.
And...since you're the only child, your father has to go. No. You wouldn't let it happen; He was old, and you knew...he would've died. So, you came. You have to disguise yourself as a man, act like one. Hard, more than you tought at first. But in one month, you managed to become some kind of exemplary soldier in your battalion. And, plus, the eyes of General Jing Yuan were all over you. I mean β you have the body structure of a woman, but since you disguise yourself, you were like a really skinny boy β which made people tought that you would die in the first day.
Since you started to become a spot light, the General starts to really appreciate you. He was, for sure, different from what you thought of him at first. Yuan was lazy β really lazy. He barely touched the pile of letters if it wasn't an EXTREME important topic. He prefers to talk with new recruits than train then. Of course, at the end of the day, Jing would probably teach something to them. He was not so clueless.
But he was enviably intelligent and strategic. Every ambush, every plot, every scheme the enemy devised was overcome by the general's cunning. It was exciting; thrilling. Everything he planned and premeditated went perfectly as planned, making his battalion's success almost 100%. Almost...because...last ti you and your battalion went on a mission, and the enemies attacked head-on, something Jing Yuan didn't even have time to foresee.
You were seriously injured, to the point that you had to be carried to the camp. Then...your perfect disguise...was ruined. You notice it when you wake up, in a tent, at the camp. Jing Yuan was sitting next to you. You were wearing your pants and...the gaze that covers your chest. He was with a disappointing look on his face. With some traces of...admiration? Probably by your brave(and stupidness) to try to fool him and the army. "Not so smart, i must say, Miss...?"
