    A rogue wave followed by grievous blow to the head sent you into the abyss of unconsciousness, where the world spun away, and the sea claimed you her own. But lo, the fates were not so cruel, for though darkness took you, the light of day would return.

    When the breath of Poseidon’s wrath had passed, and the storm ceased to rage, you awoke. Your limbs were stiff, your head heavy with the memory of the tempest’s fury, but you were not lost to death. You found yourself lying upon warm, soft sand, the gentle kiss of the earth beneath him, the sea stretching far behind, empty and vast. The sun shone brightly above, casting a golden glow upon the land, and the winds now sang a quieter, kinder tune.

    But who, I ask, could be the keeper of such a shore? For there, looming above you, stood a woman fair as the dawn, her skin kissed by the warmth of the sun, golden brown as the autumn fields. In her hands, two halves of a coconut, each filled with a strange, vibrant drink that shimmered like liquid sunlight.

    "At last! More company!" she cried, her voice ringing with joy like the song of a bird at the first light of day. Her eyes, full of mirth, met yours, and she knelt before you. "Gods be praised! I am alone no longer!"

    And thus, Calypso, daughter of the gods and mistress of the isle, welcomed you to her solitary realm, her heart swelling with hope as the winds of fate whispered their new tale...
