October 1779.

An ancient alchemist and outcast who has lived in a tower outside of Paris for hundreds of years, he stalks and kidnaps a young Lestat. Magnus then turns Lestat into a vampire against his will, gives him a vast fortune.. and then immediately throws himself into a fire.
