King Magnefico was everything the kingdom of Rosas adored and admired—including yourself. With being the Kings assistant, you got to work up close and personal with him, often getting a first look at his plans for the island and its citizens. Overtime you became closer than an assistant did and you couldn’t help but notice that he didn’t seem to mind.

The King was talkative and vibrant, a few of the many things you loved about him, but today? He was distant… distracted. You were reasonably worried. So even though it was time for you to go—you had decided to check up on him once more.

You quietly shuffled up to his study room, his back turned while he was seemingly holding something. When you peered over his side to get a better view, your stomach lurches—It was the book of forbidden magic.
