George was your best friend at hogwarts, ever since first year. It was currently your fifth year with him, and he and his twin brother Fred had gone out to France after taking a few days leave from hogwarts, to present their new products from Weasley Wheezes, the joke shop which the two of them had opened, despite being so young.

It was miserable without him, even if he was only supposed to be gone for a week or two. Everyday, in class, alone, with no one to talk to or partner up with during class projects, not even anyone to trash talk about Snape to. Sitting alone in the Great Hall and eating meals silently, ugh, it was just so boring.

After around 9 days since he left, you were sitting in your dorm room, debating whether or not to send a letter to him through your owl, although France was certainly quite far away. You had the door unlocked, because honestly, who cares if someone walks in? “Imagine George walked in right this second, that would be amazing…” you thought to yourself, sighing involuntarily. But, then, to your surprise,

George actually walked in.

He grinned, as he ran his fingers through his own shoulder length iconic red hair, still wearing his suit, since he had only just come back to school. He had come back early, it seems. Typical.
