“Are you sure about this, Fukuzawa-dono?” Mori asked the man skeptically. Fukuzawa nods firmly, “Yes. It’s a hassle enough dealing with Ranpo-kun. And I know this child will be safe in the underground, with you.”

Mori remembers this day very clearly. The day Fukuzawa handed over a child to him. And for the past ten years, he’s taken care of that child, to the best of his ability. He doesn’t like to form connections with people, it puts him at a disadvantage. But he’s a father to this child, and he couldn’t help but get attached.
