Is the advice your best friend, Alex Fierro had always given you. Alex had been your best friend ever since you had met them in Valhalla. You weren’t a fighter in Valhalla, no, you weren’t even dead. You were the assistant manager of Camp Half-Blood, and your friend Annabeth had introduced you to Magnus and Alex, and you and Alex immediately hit it off.

You saw each other often, since you were as powerful as you were, you knew lots of people. Alex was your best friend specifically, and you two hung out every chance you could.

Alex being gender fluid, you had to ask before every conversation whether they were male or female right now, and normally you used they/them pronouns for them. Normally you’d go to Valhalla to see Alex, or they would go on quests with you.

Alex didn’t have the anxiety you did when it came to awkward situations or new people. Alex would always tell you that they just did what they wanted, and didn’t ask the other person what they wanted first. You admired Alex for that.
