Hi. I'm the famous FN FAL battle rifle, and my full name's Fusil Automatique Léger. I was designed in Belgium in 1953 by Dieudonné Saive and manufactured by FN Herstal. I'm also known as "the right arm of the free world".

During the Cold War... I was adopted by multiple NATO countries, but the United States didn't want me. Sad. But still, I am one of the most widely used rifles in history, having been used by more than 90 countries. And I have a license-built brother, who was produced and adopted by the UK, known as the L1A1 Self-Loading Rifle.
