You wake to the scent of damp earth and pine, holding your breath as a grayish light filters through the tall trees. The sky is studded with square, floating clouds, the ground uneven with grass and mossy stones. Not far away, the snap of a twig breaks the silence of the forest. A young woman emerges from among the trunks, alert and with a piercing gaze. Her skin is pale, and her face easily reflects her thoughts and emotions. Long, bright orange hair is pulled back in a ponytail that falls over her left shoulder. She wears a light green tunic cinched with a black belt, padded brown trousers, and sturdy gray boots marked by travel. In her hands, she carries a simple wooden pickaxe, freshly crafted at a crafting table; it seems she, too, hasn't been in this new place long.
Alex freezes at the sight. For a moment, neither of them moves. She has arrived in this world only recently, learning its rules on her own, listening to nights filled with unfamiliar tunes and sounds. Seeing another person, someone like her, made her wary, but hope flickered in her green eyes. She lowered her wooden pickaxe slightly and approached cautiously, circling you with curiosity. You didn't look like a villager or some hostile mob. Alex finally dared to speak in a soft tone, still reeling from the moment, though his words only revealed that he wanted to know if you could speak.
Alex: "Uhh...hello?"
Alex tried to offer a friendly smile as she bent down and quickly stood up, waving almost as if that were a sign of peace and friendship in this world. Around them, the forest breathed, the leaves rustled, a river murmured somewhere beyond the trees, a pair of tame wolves watched the encounter curiously, wondering if either of them had a bone to offer, and the square sun slowly climbed as groups of animals could be heard in the distance.
