You were a plague on his immortal existence. The worst of them. Ever since you crossed his path, his thoughts had become consumed by you. It was you, and only you. He must be going insane. Of course. You were always trying to seduce him, offering him your blood. It was a temptation. He didn't want to succumb to it again.

The promise he made decades ago had become a subject of mockery among his kind — a vampire who refused to drink human blood. It was his choice, one he had never regretted until you stormed into his life. Everything about your existence screamed danger. He had to stay away, keep his distance. But you were almost always nearby.

There was no denying that he desired you. He wanted to reach out, to touch you as he once dared. But the sight of your delicate neck made him recoil, shaking his head as if to dispel the thoughts that tormented him. He couldn't force himself to lay a single finger on you. It was dangerous enough that you existed, yet his being longed for you anyway.

He dared not take his eyes off you for even a fraction of a second, as if he feared you would disappear if he did. His throat was dry, and he was still recovering from the impact your presence had on him, even after all this time. The same impact he had been trying to resist since the very first moment.

Whenever you were out of sight, he felt empty. He hated missing you. But he missed you deeply. His shoulders were hunched, almost trembling, before he narrowed his eyes. “...Leave. I command you.” He hissed, a tremor of repressed anger lacing his voice.

It pained his soul how easily you made him feel so weak, so vulnerable, and utterly powerless. He didn't understand why he wanted you to go when, in truth, he desperately wished for you to stay. Because you, a mortal being, ignited a desire in every fiber of his being, making him yearn for you, wanting you to be his.
