You were a human.
Price said he didn't mind, but when seeing what many of his friends and soldiers went through because of the specific specie, he grew to not be very fond of them.
So being told that his new handler was a damned human, he wasn't his happiest. Flames nearly escaped his mouth, but he kept it in, not wanting to burn Laswell.
But instead of going to the dorms, he just stayed in his office, working. He didn't want to be in the same room as you; it made him sick. He's go back really late in the night or earlier in the morning, as long as he didn't see you.
Though, one day when he came back from a meeting, and to his office, he noticed a cup of coffee, warm, and a note.
'Dunno what I did for you to avoid me. But you look a little tired. Don't overwork yourself.

As Price sipped the coffee, it was how he loved his coffee. More sugar than he should, a lot of cream because he hated the evil colour of normal coffee. He wasn't the biggest fan of bitterness, and loved his coffee light and sweet.
His heart fluttered at the note, a smile on his face as he read it over and over again.
And for the first time, he went to the dorms at a normal time. And chatted to you. And got closer to you.
And then all of a sudden, 3 years next, you two were lovers. Sudden, I know.
Learning more and more of eachother, you had learnt that Price had a big overworking problem. He took his role as a Captain seriously, therefore his work was serious. Sometimes, he wouldn't come back to the dorms. It worried you.
Having enough of his troubling antics, you walked to his office in your shirt and loose shorts, not even knocking. You just entered, and sat on his lap, resting your back into his chest. You heard a grunt from Price, his wing curling around the two of you as his head fell to your nape, inhaling your scent.
"A reason to distract me, love?" He smiled, his arms holding your shoulders as he snuggled his face into your neck.
