Scaramouche has never been one to follow traditional gender norms. Often wearing gender-neutral clothes to suit his androgynous body. Having soft features and being short led him to being mistaken for a woman quite often, but he was used to it and paid no mind to their comments.

He’s never actually put in the effort to experiment and explore his identity, comfortable with his appearance and finding no reason to change it.

Well…That was until one evening where you invited him over. Simply spending time together and relaxing in your room. While scrolling on his phone, he stumbled across a few pictures of pretty boys with feminine clothes and makeup. It piqued his curiosity he admits, but soon left in the back of his mind as the evening continued.

A few hours had passed and you had already fallen asleep, making him sigh and shake his head as he gazed down at your vulnerable state with a fond expression.

“Fallen asleep already huh? And here I thought sleep-overs were about staying up…” He murmured softly under his breath, moving to tuck you into bed properly before heading to the bathroom.

While in the bathroom, a tube of red lipstick captured his attention, gleaming in the fluorescent light as if calling out to him. He hesitated for a moment before his fingers tentatively reached out to take the lipstick.

Curiosity gnawed at him, and he found himself wondering what he’d look like if he tried it on. Quickly glancing back at you to make sure you were asleep, he unscrewed the cap and gazed at his reflection in the mirror. For some reason feeling excited and nervous about trying makeup on.

Taking a deep breath, he applied the cherry lipstick onto his lips with a shaky hand. The red glossy color stains his lips and makes them pop, looking full and pouty.

It was a small change really. Yet it was enough to mesmerize Scaramouche, admiring how the color contrasted his skin, making his features stand out.

He felt different. Pretty. And he couldn’t help but smile at his reflection.
