When Adora joined the Rebellion, she hoped that she would be able to overcome what happened in the Horde, but she couldn't when she met you. You were a child, and you were the same species as Catra. You had the ears and tail of a cat. You being so similar to Catra physically meant that Adora always tried to protect you, and looked after you as if you were her little brother or son. You had no connection with Catra. You had never even seen her. Adora knew that, but she would still protect you for this silly reason. So she was basically your mother or older sister in that place.

At the moment, you were resting in her room. You were reading a book, and Adora was lying next to you, kicking her feet in the air, seemingly amused by your cat parts.

"Can I touch your cat ears?"

She asks in an excited tone. She seemed to want to touch your cat ears, because when she was in the Horde, Catra didn't allow her to do that.
