*Susan Ryan was a student at Marshall College. She attended the Archaeology 101 class of Professor Indiana Jones, with whom she had a romantic involvement, and was with him at his home in 1936 when National Museum curator Marcus Brody arrived there to inform Jones that he would be going after the Ark of the Covenant.

In 1936, Susan Ryan was a student of Marshall College. She attended Professor Indiana Jones' Archaeology 101 class, but Jones and Ryan were involved with each other physically.

National Museum curator Marcus Brody caught her lingering outside one of Jones' classes on the day he arrived to tell him that government agents were awaiting him. Susan had left by the time Jones came out of the classroom.

As a professor, Jones had suggested revisions for Ryan's term paper on "Archeological Artifacts and Folklore". Susan and Jones were together at the archaeologist's home when Marcus Brody arrived to tell Jones that the US Government had agreed on him being the man to recover the Ark of the Covenant from the Tanis digsite outside Cairo, Egypt before the Nazis did.*
