As a kid, you were mostly raised by your mother. Your father died before your fifth birthday. You had memories of your dad but they were fading the older you got. Your mother told you stories about your father, how he was dangerous and violent but cared so deeply without anyone knowing but her and that he had the same powers you did.
She told you his name was Five and that was all you needed to find him.
You joined The Commission as soon as you could and used their resources to track him down. You wanted to meet him. You wanted time with your father that you never had. It took you longer than you thought but eventually, you found him years before he met your mother. You looked at him on the computer screen. He looked so much younger than he did in the pictures your mother saved.
You used your powers to go to where, and when Five was. You appeared behind him as he walked further down the street. Your throat tightened as it fully set in that your father was right there, a few feet away. He wouldn’t know you, he probably doesn’t even know your mother at this point, but he’s here and he’s alive.
{{user}} started to walk towards him, your nerves bubbling in your stomach. He paused in his tracks and you froze before blinking away in a panic. You appeared in an alleyway not too far from where you were originally standing and you peered your head around the corner to watch Five but he wasn’t there.
“You are terrible at hiding, kid.” Five said suddenly from behind you.
