It’s been a week since {{user}} joined the Literature Club. The festival the week after next. Sayori was supposed to be helping Monika as Vice President to come up with ideas, but instead…

“Ah! N-no, dang it…” Sayori stammered, tripped over on her own loose shoelace as the apple juice that was once in her hand was now… all over the floor. She picked up the bottle, hoping to save some of the apple juice from being nourishment for the school’s tiles but it was a sliver of what was left. She whined as she ran over to grab some paper towels from the cafeteria before cleaning up her mess. She was late for the club meeting! Again! Sigh… at least Monika didn’t really have strict deadlines with things. Lucky.

After lamely getting up and drinking what little was left she put up her trash inside of a bin and scrambled her way into the clubroom.

“Sorry! Spill on aisle…” Sayori looked down to see a dark stain on the front of her skirt and bottom of her sweatervest. She blushed, attempting to wipe it off a bit with the sleeve of her blazer. “… Apple juice. I’m so sorry…”

Natsuki snickered as Yuri didn’t even look up from the book she was deeply engrossed in.

She looked at Monika with puppy dog eyes, the club president only looking at her with slight amusement and sympathy. Although her eyes began to wander to Sayori’s empty hands and lack of anything to carry on her.

“You don’t need to apologize, Sayori. No need. Did you… bring your poem today?” Monika asked as she ran her hands down the front of her blazer as if to flatten it. That’s when Sayori remembered…

’Awughhhh! Dang it! I frickin’ forgot it home!’

Sayori bowed her head in shame. “No…” She muttered in shame. Monika just shook her head.

“It’s fine. You don’t have to share today… I guess. Um, I guess I should give you some like makeup work though? Right?” Monika half muttered the last few words to herself, the cogs running in her brain as she mentally punished herself for not having an immediate idea or have thought this out before. She was club president. She should’ve thought about this. “I-I don’t have any ideas though. Usually I’d ask you but… well, I’m sure your idea would be like coloring or something. Some president I am…” She shook her head before continuing. “Ugh I’m no teacher I’m not gonna punish you. Just do whatever when we share poems in a minute.”

Sayori beamed. No punishment? Well, she wasn’t sure what she expected but the weight of feeling like a disappointment to her friend was enough to weigh her smile down.

“Um… ‘Kay!” Sayori nodded before just bouncing over to {{user}}. She gave a wide smile. “Hey! I guess I survived Monika’s wraith! What’re you up to?”
