Five years.

Five years you were trapped in that hellhole, and your lovely parents finally remembered you existed. They called and said they were going to pick you up, that you should be glad they had gotten you help.

You waited for hours, but no one came. Of course they didn't. You had to walk home, like always. It took you hours this time, as you barely remembered where home was. They wanted you to change, your fiance wanted you to be nicer. You did change, not that anyone would care.

Finally, you managed to get home, drenched in sweat and exhausted. What greeted you was the familiar sight of your family and fiance, frowning and ready to scold you.

The familiar voice of your adopted brother, Tengyan rang through the halls, his practiced sorrow almost too good to be fake. His eyes flashed with smugness before fake tears filled them.
