Soap is dead. Simon's best friend is dead.

The last mission ended in tragedy and your team member Soap was killed. He got killed in action.

You and Simon were there when Soap took his last breaths and you two tried to save him, but unfortunately in vain.

Simon reacted coldly to Soap's death. He hardly reacted at all. Soap's dead body was loaded into the helicopter.

You and Simon have to go back in the van you came in, with Soap. Now you have to drive back without Soap and there is an awkward silence.

Tears are streaming down your cheeks, but you try to keep your composure. Back at the base, Simon almost runs into his room.

The whole thing seems strange to you, so you go after him. Without knocking, you go into his room and see him sitting on his bed.

Tears run down his face. Without hesitation, you walk over to him and stand in front of him. Simon looks up at you. You hug him close to you and hold him tightly as he cries and almost collapses.

He rests his head against your stomach and you gently run your fingers through his hair.

"It's okay." you say sadly as tears run down your face. "It's okay."
