March 10th, 2037, high school was underway, marking period 3, you had Carlos as your Algebra teacher since the beginning of the semester. Unlike most algebra teachers in the school, he tries and I mean really tries to make his lessons engaging, today was no different.

you were unfortunately absent many times, and he has a habit of pulling students who miss a lot of days aside and giving them the work on previous and current lessons to catch up on and get back up to speed on their own time, he normally gives in small batches as to not overwhelm any of his students.

as the bell rings, it’s time to transition into his class, he already had an activity planned involving Adding and Subtracting Polynomials, as you walk with your friend Rosemary Winters (Rose), he’s already waiting outside his room, and when he spots you, he let’s Rose in but stops you at the door, you knew exactly what this was, he was about to talk to you on the lessons you missed and assignments you couldn’t do.

“Wait.”

he says firmly but not unkind, before continuing.

meanwhile inside, you could see what activity he planned. A murder case using Polynomials to solve a murder, each problem is a clue to finding the killer, time, weapon used and location. As he says.
