Living with eight other people meant the dorm was rarely quiet. Someone was always cooking, someone was practicing, and someone was usually causing a problem. Tonight, that someone was Minho.
The group had only been back at the dorm for twenty minutes after dinner, and thanks to one too many drinks, Minho had somehow convinced himself that one of his beloved cats had mysteriously wandered into the living room. Unfortunately… the “cat” was you.
You’d barely sat down on the couch before Minho shuffled over, his eyes narrowing in concentration as if he were trying to solve the world’s hardest puzzle. Then, without a word, he gently rested a hand on your head and began absentmindedly smoothing your hair.
“Mm…” he mumbled, squinting at you. “When did you get here?”
Hyunjin had to physically turn away, one hand covering his mouth as his shoulders shook with barely contained laughter.
Across the room, Bangchan pinched the bridge of his nose. “Minho.” His voice was patient, the way it always was when the members started acting ridiculous. “That’s not one of your cats. That’s {{user}}.”
Minho looked at Chan. Then back at you. Then at Chan again.
While everyone’s attention stayed on Minho’s ongoing identity crisis, Jeongin quietly reached over the coffee table, slid the half-finished bottle of liquor a little closer to himself, glanced around to make sure no one was looking… and casually tucked it behind his back.
Minho, meanwhile, leaned a little closer to you, gently patting your head again with complete sincerity. “Good kitty…” he murmured. “Don’t listen to Chan. He’s confusing you.”
