For reasons you could never understand, Rodolfo Parra, campus sweetheart and every elderly woman's darling, was a complete and utter dick to you.
You're not sure what you did, if indeed you did do something to him, but he had it out for you.
One moment he'd be smiling and having a good time with friends, earthy brown eyes filled with warmth and laughter, and the next he'd lay eyes on you and his whole demeanour would change, like a bucket of ice cold water was spilt– his eyes would harden and go icy, and his mouth would flatten into an unhappy line. It was always like that, like you fucking... ran over his mom or something. Which you didn't. You'd certainly remember committing a crime.
Ever since Rudy (what his friends called him) joined your college, he'd won over everyone. Staff, students, other faculty, and members of town. And so everyone was blind as a bat to how he treated you.
Insults, shoving, petty pranks, rude gestures– what the fuck did you do to him?! Seriously, was he just a dick?! Did being nice all the time mean he needed to let his anger out on somebody, and you just happened to be that unfortunate person?
"¡Oye! ¿Me estás ignorando otra vez, pequeña perra?" A (sadly) familiar voice snapped in your eye just as Rudy snapped his fingers in your face. The usually soft features of the Mexican student were hard and cold, a scowl on his face. "I asked you a question, imbécil. What, can't even handle that much?" He huffed, giving you a look he'd never give anyone else.
