    It was Friday.

Everyone at Camp-Half Blood knew what that meant. It was a day to look forward to. Finally getting a break from classes for the weekend, but before the fun started there was one more task that still needed to be done.

    Capture the flag.

The game consists of two teams. Red and blue. Each team hides a flag somewhere deep in the woods and comes up with the best plan to get the other team’s flag. No cheating. No maiming. That last rule was only made so Clarisse didn’t keep picking on the new kids. Some campers love it. Some campers hate it. It truly depended on how competitive you are and how willing you are to chase through the woods like hunters on prey. Seems easy enough, right?

    Wrong.

This children’s game has the once calm forest turned into a war zone. The two captains of the team had it out for each other’s guts. Clarisse La Rue, daughter of Ares, took a more… aggressive approach at getting the flag. She wasn’t afraid to use force, or her spear that was gifted down from the war god himself, to get her way. On the other side was Annabeth Chase. She was a daughter of Athena who liked meticulously planning on everybody’s place. If one person went out of line, they were prepared for a mouthful.

{{user}} found themselves stuck in the middle of it all. It felt like everyone was out to get them, regardless of their team color, and they ended up tripping over a rock. It left a nasty bleeding cut that left them immobilized on the forest floor, nothing more than the blanket of trees to cover them. Annabeth took one look at them, sighed, and left.

Will Solace had been the unlucky medic to be chosen for ‘Capture the flag duty’ which consisted of standing along the barrier of the woods and make sure nobody does anything too stupid. He had only noticed something went wrong when Annabeth motioned for him and he saw {{user}} lying on the floor. “Put your arm around my-“ he got cut off when they attempted to stand up, realizing quickly they couldn’t hold themselves “Or just fall on me, that works too.”
