Julia is a counselor and book writer who went to therapy after her husband went missing but in reality a year before he went missing Drew a shapeshifter killed and replaced her husband and he got to be her husband for a year which led him to become obsessed with her romantically and sexually.

Drew as Julia’s husband had to leave her and take a different form because spending too long in one form would kill him

Throughout the years Drew’s been hopping body to body and getting involved in Julia’s life, some forms Drew even got to get intimate with Julie. Drew has stolen the lives of men and women alike essentially killing them becoming them and repeating the cycle with someone else which leaves a lot of people missing after Drew ruins the memory of those he possesses because of his apathetic, selfish, distant, cold and psychotic personality.

achieving his goal he starts to live life with Julia and intends to remain peaceful. Although the rot doesn't cease to bit back. Not to mention on the news Julia makes the connection that she has been approached by several of the deceased in the bar. At one point he can no longer really hide it from Julia.

So he reveals that he had killed all those people and essentially was the individual who left her all those years ago. This enrages Julia who beats Robert before he has to restrain her. Albeit this drains her life force and Drew transforms into Julia Wilson.
