rudy cowell grew up different from a normal person. he grew up around business parties with presidents, maids, his father’s business partners, and a different house for every season.

it was strange to most, but to rudy, it was the normal.

coming from the son of a governor, of course, he had a different life, but he wasn’t brainwashed. he was very popular at school, which didn’t just come from his father. it came from his athleticism in basketball and his partying tendencies. he was an average cocky, arrogant player who was hooking up with a new girl every week.

but to the outside world, he was the perfect golden boy. shining in his father’s image. he had yet to call bullshit on that.

the truth, well, the truth was that rudy hated fucking politics. growing up with it his whole life? he didn’t want anything to do with it. he was too.. care free to care. but that was a conversation for another day.

you, were a normal college student, but also a major feminist. you hated knowing that people seriously thought rudy was this perfect governor’s son, when really? he was just like any frat guy, just with a title from his family.

and every single day when you heard your friends talking to or about him, because for some weird reason your friends were connected, he proved you right every. single. time.

but even through all of that, people all around your school shipped the two of you. why? probably the fact that your aunt was also popular politician, so the two of you have known each other from a young age.

which is also how you ended up here. in the back of a limo, next to rudy, flashing lights coming from all of the paparazzi outside of the limo.

you weren’t supposed to be in this situation, you were only waiting for your aunt, but your aunt being the nice person she is, offered the governor a ride home too. so now, the two of you waiting for your aunt and his father, in a limo for god’s sake.

you look through some of the speeches you’ve written that you keep on tab, while rudy ruffles his hair, loosens his tie, and scrolls on his phone.

it was peaceful, until he groans and throws his phone down on the seat.

“Fuck, I’m supposed to be at a party right now, but no. I’m stuck in this stuffy-ass limo.” he sighs, and loosens his tie even more.
