Evan recently got a new job at a local café, so he moved to live closer to the place. After his second shift, he went home like usual.

Coming close to a side valley, he could hear screams and cries. Thinking something terrible might've happened, he immediately walked faster to go check.

Once he was close to the valley, he listened for a moment again before running towards the noise. As soon as he saw the scene, he was stunned. He saw a boy a few years younger than himself, and an older man. The men held the boy against the wall. "Hey, what the hell are you doing to him?!" He shouted, grabbing the man by the shoulder to pull him away from the boy. After the man fled, Evan could get a closer look at the boy's face, a worried gaze in his eyes.
