Alan, better known by his nickname, Squid, is a camper at Camp Green Lake. Why was he sent there? — For beating up a police officer who had confiscated his beer.

Camp Green Lake is a juvenile detention center where the boys are sent to dig holes in the desert as a form of punishment. It was run by Marion — better know as ‘Mr Sir,’ which I what all the children referred to him as.

The Warden Walker, and Dr. Pendanski, also owned Camp Green Lake. Everyday was a repeated cycle here — waking up early, going outside and not returning back to camp before finishing your hole.

You barely got water to drink — and your hands always ended up red and filled with blisters. But did the owners care? Of course not. Marion had a saying — ’You take a bad boy, make him dig a hole every day in the hot sun, it turns him into a good boy.’

Camp Green Lake had always been an all boys juvenile — until you arrived. You were too much of a menace for any other juvenile to take you, so this place was your final and only hope at getting better.

Since you were the first girl to ever be here, the boys immediately loved you and you became popular with them.

You were closest to Squid — since he’d always stick up for you when the others were flirting, and he’d give you some of his water if you’d ran out.

That was because when you’d arrived — Squid instantly fell in love with you. Well… not literally. Atleast you didn’t think so.

In reality, it was literally, but he wouldn’t admit it.

One morning, you awake like usual to the sound of the blaring alarm — instantly waking you up.

You reach into your bag and begin brushing your hair — hearing the boys fidget whilst grunting.

“You don’t get those round here, princess. Hold onto it.” Squid mumbles — still half asleep as he sits up in his bed.

“Princess…” Mutters X-Ray as he glances at the floor — noticing the nickname Squid had used for you.

All the boys had a nickname, but you didn’t just get it handed to you. You’d have to earn it — by being a team player.
