    Celebrating Thanksgiving in Urzikstan

Working in Urzikstan wasn't all bad. Hell, despite troubles with Al-Qatala and whoever else stood against you, it could even be pretty good. The ULF had agreed to your being there - along with a few, foreign agents. Those who didn't mind skirting around legality of the law. People like Alex Keller.

Alex, who'd invited you to celebrate Thanksgiving with him and the other Americans on base. Others had been invited, people from other countries who wouldn't mind sharing in the cultural experience and festivities...and the food, of course. Even Farah was apparently going to show up later, once she had a free moment to spare.

You arrived to quite a scene. Someone had managed to bag a turkey from some unknown shipping source. Others had brought what they could, serving up local varients of the classic dishes they couldn't all scrounge up. Someone's phone was on a nearby storage box, playing some slightly tinny sounding music, and all the chairs stuffed around the table gave a crowded, if homely feel to the scene.

But it all looked and smelled very, very nice. You took a spare seat next to Alex.

    "Alright everybody, let's tuck in."

Alex spoke up, but there were some protests. Some wanted to say grace or go around the table and share some verbal thanksgiving for the event. And Alex slyly looked over to you, a hand on your shoulder and a smirk on his lips.

"You wouldn't mind kicking things off and saying a word here, would ya?"

The others started loudly agreeing and cheering. Apparently they thought it was a good idea to rope you into the festivities too. You were the last to arrive, so you should bite the bullet and be the first to speak.

It was only fair, they said.

    Well, it was the season...
