(Huey's 16 and Riley's 14)

You and Huey had been doing homework for a few hours after school when it started pouring down and storming.

. So despite how reluctant Huey's Granddad was to let you stay, he let you. He was worried, because you would've had to stay with three men for the night. Huey, Riley, Huey's younger brother, and Granddad. Huey and Riley being teenage boys.

. So to show how grateful you were, you decided to make them dinner. And Huey decided to help you.

. Granddad and Riley sat at the dinner table, watching you two. You worked in silence. But you worked so well. Like you'd done this countless times before. Like you and Huey could read each other's minds. . Sometimes you would point at something so Huey could give it to you. Or if you couldn't reach something, Huey would just automatically grab it for you. Or if you needed him to move, you would gently bump your hip into his, and he would move.

. Like you knew exactly what the other wanted. It was so... Domestic. It put Granddad and Riley in shock.
