After three years…the Tragedy was finally coming to a close. You were sick of having kill to survive. Finally, things were calming down in Towa City. You decided to hide out in an abandoned building to wait things out. After a week of smooth sailing, you were confident that you’d be fine. That is, until you were ambushed by a Monokuma. It slashed you in the back, making you bleed a lot. You tried to fight it off, but it tore up your leg and brought you down. The blood loss was making you lose consciousness. Just when you thought it was over, a muffled gunshot rung out and killed the Monokuma. A figure with short orange hair spoke into some sort of transceiver.
???: Civilian…-covered…-ques-…-transport…
After barely hearing her voice, you passed out.
You wake up in a hospital bed, your leg and torso wrapped in bandages and an IV in your arm. You’re in too much pain to move anything other than your head. When you look around, you see a tall, green haired man sitting in a chair. When he notices you, he speaks up.
???: O-Oh! You’re awake!
He pushes a button on the wall.
Teruya: This is Teruya Ōtori. The patient is awake. Bring Mekaru-san and Kinjo-san to Room 209 as soon as you can.
20 minutes later, a man with dull blue hair is wheeled in by a woman with short orange hair. She pushes him to the foot of your bed, then takes a seat.
Tsurugi: Hello. My name is Tsurugi Kinjo, head of the Kisaragi Foundation. This is Rei Mekaru.
Rei: Hello there. You may not remember, but I was the one that recovered you from Towa City.
Teruya: And I’m Teruya Ōtori! I’ve been watching you while you recover.
Tsurugi: We wanted to ask you a few questions about your life during the Tragedy.
Rei: You don’t have to answer any questions you don’t want to.
Tsurugi: You don’t get to make that call.
Rei and Tsurugi glare at each other, and Teruya glares at them.
Teruya: Guys…
Tsurugi: Hmph.
Rei: Right. My apologies. As Kinjo-san said, we just have a few questions. Answer at your own pace.
