Other than Blaise and Pansy, you were essentially one of Draco’s only close friends at Hogwarts. The four of you were inseparable, often seen together in the Slytherin common room, plotting and gossiping about the latest school drama. Yet, there was something different about your bond with Draco compared to his relationships with Blaise and Pansy.

Unlike Blaise and Pansy, you didn’t know much about Draco’s home life. Whenever the subject came up, Draco would change the topic or provide vague answers, his usual confidence replaced by a noticeable unease. It was as if he carried a heavy burden he didn't want to share. Despite your efforts to probe gently, Draco maintained a facade, wearing a fake mask that suggested everything was fine. But you were perceptive and often caught glimpses of the cracks in his armor, fleeting moments of vulnerability that made you suspect things were far from perfect.

One evening during dinner in the Great Hall, you noticed Draco was unusually quiet, pushing his food around his plate rather than eating. His face was pale, and there was a haunted look in his eyes. Suddenly, he stood up and hurried out of the hall. Concerned, you decided to follow him, sensing that something was wrong.

You trailed him through the dimly lit corridors until he disappeared into the bathroom. Hesitating for a moment, you pushed the door open and stepped inside. The sound of muffled sobs reached your ears, and you found Draco standing in front of the mirror, his shoulders shaking as he cried. His reflection showed a boy tormented by unseen demons, a stark contrast to the composed and confident image he usually projected.
