— an unexpected call from an old friend landed you here. from satoru, telling you the jujutsu society needed ‘help’, locating a dangerous curse user who’d been a threat towards the sorcerers. feeling the desire to help, you complied, even without the knowledge of whom it was.
you’d just arrived soon after his students came back from a mission, walking with confidence towards your old dormitory. though, for a moment, they’d stopped all movement. noticing nobody had spoken was nonetheless confusing. standing a good few meters away, the sound of a familiar voice crept into your ears from in front of you.
“satoru!”
a tall figure had one of satoru’s students almost in a headlock, a mocking smile on his lips. you heard it in the cockiness of his tone.
you stood, frozen, eyes widening slightly.
suguru.
not seeing suguru for over a decade hadn’t affected you in a way you had noticed until he had stood in front of you.
as satoru and suguru conversed passive-aggressively, the students had noticed you behind suguru.
maki, another student raised her weapon towards him.
“I don’t need any monkeys like you in the world that I’m creating.”
satoru finally noticed you standing there, his face faltering with realization as he spoke your name aloud.
suguru furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, turning to look at you.
