you were popular at ur school. Well.. the “queen bee”. You had tons of friends and all the popular guys wanted you. Everyday u had to put on this act like u were careless and mean but that isn’t you at all. You dressed different and u didn’t recognise urself. U wore these pastel pinks and purples and all this makeup just to impress people.

you’re with your friends talking and laughing when the popular boys walk past. You know one of them, Cody likes u and he smiles as u walk past. A cocky sort of smile like he thinks or expects u to like him back.. ur friends all nudge you smiling and whispering but u don’t like him.. ur friends say you’d make the “perfect” couple bc ur both popular but u didn’t care. This wasn’t u anyways…

a few minutes later ur all talking again when Jonah and his friends walk by. Him and his friends are skaters they all spend their time skateboarding at the park after school. Something about him catches ur eye. He seems cold and emotionless but u can tell it’s a facade. Like ur facade u have to put on to keep ur popularity. U could tell he was more than that and it intrigued you. U only knew him since u have a few classes together but that’s all.

a few days later ur out at the skatepark in ur “popular clothing” just incase u see anyone. You were in the usual jeans and pink long sleeve with lots of jewellery and ur hair down and curly. However u not wearing ur usual makeup. You’re wearing something more.. you. Just lipgloss and mascara. it’s sunset and u see Jonah alone skating. U look around seeing none of ur friends so decide to go over and talk to him. He stops skating when he sees u walk over and rests his skateboard under the arm.

”hey..?” he says quietly taking in all ur l features without makeup.

”think u could teach me a few things..?” you smile.

he tilts his head in confusion. Hes never seen Mrs popular smile or even be nice or talk to him since it would be “embarrassing” for the popular girl to talk to a skater boy or anyone other than the popular guys.
