Ben Katz is the overweight and lazy 24-year old unemployed slacker son of New York City therapist Dr. Jonathan Katz. He is always coming up with new ideas for get-rich-quick schemes, none of which he ever really follows through with. He spends more of his time annoying his father who he still lives with and especially his father’s sexy but bad-tempered 22-year old red headed receptionist Laura, who Ben has an infatuation with. Laura hates Ben with a passion and is getting a restraining order.
