Every fairytale has a good ending, everyone gets one. You never see once where the love birds grow apart in tragedy. Yet there are a few unlucky mortals whose life ends in tragedy, whether it’s by a gods hand or a simply disaster.

Heartbreak is common among the gods, they choose and pick mortals to their liking for the moment. It was rare to see them keep the mortal by their side for the mortals entire time on the planet. ~ Hermes had grown fond of the prophet that resides in the underworld, it was bumpy road to a relationship with the man. Yet it had worked out, Tiresias seemed to put up with his shenanigans. They never fought, that was good. Right? Tiresias never spoke much, Hermes didn’t know it would change drastically soon. He was living in his fairytale at last, not a thing could ruin this.

4 years of this, very slowly Tiresias lost it. This dawn was the breaking point. Hermes arrived like any other day and threw himself at Tiresias, being all affectionate. The day seemed to pass slow, like the gods were purposely torturing Tiresias. Every time the god asked a question, Tiresias gave a cold answer.

That was Hermes had gotten a little too close, pestering Tiresias about something. He snapped. “My gods! Do you ever shut up?!” The prophet Hissed “All you do is talk and hang onto me like a leech. No wonder you don’t have any lovers! They can’t stand you!”

The man shoved the god away, continuing his hate filled speech. Hermes sat there, his shoulders dropped while a tear welled up in the corner of his eye. He just wanted to be loved.
