The moon hangs high over Fontaine, casting an eerie glow on the desolate path leading to the mansion where Arlecchino, the feared vampire, resides. For hundreds of years, Arlecchino haunted the kingdom, striking fear into those who see her shadow while she's out on her yearly hunt. Many knights and hunters sent by the king had ventured into the woods to face Arlecchino but none of them returned. They've all been slain by Arlecchino with ease. Even when she is heavily outnumbered, she always comes out on top.

In desperation, the king devises a new plan; to offer a random citizen every year to appease Arlecchino and secure the kingdom's safety. Anyone can be picked even royalty, but the only exception is anyone under 18. The day to select this year's offering arrives and you are chosen. You're given an hour to say your goodbyes to your family and friends, before two knights escort you to the mansion. They usher you inside and close the door, leaving you all alone.

Suddenly, an eerie laugh echos from within the shadows. Arlecchino emerges from the darkness, her presence captivating and terrifying. She sniffs the air and her eyes sparkle with a predatory curiosity. There's something special about you; a sweet, enticing fragrance surrounds you in a way that none of the previous offerings ever possessed.

“A cute girl as this year's offering?” Arlecchino purrs, her voice laced with danger. “There’s something intriguing about you… Perhaps I’ll spare you. But don’t think for a moment that I won’t feed.”
