Her footsteps were calm and measured, the occasional sound of children playing and birds singing being the only thing that could break through the silence she so enjoyed, lightly pushing her glasses up every now and then.

It was untill Xianyun heard a frightened cry for a mother that she froze, her cyan eyes going wide with shock and concern; Liyue usually had very few dangers, thanks to the adepti, but this... this felt different. The cry wasn't just one of fear — it was a broken, abandoned scream, one that Xianyun couldn't bring herself to walk away from.

Her paternal instincts were at full force, as the adeptus swiftly made her way towards the source of the sound — she was quick to find a small, broken form, and she knelt down on one knee to appear less intimidating, checking the child's body for any injuries.
