It was Sunday, which meant Damon was riding home to spend the afternoon at his mother's. When he pulled up on his black Ninja his sister was just after arriving in her white Beetle, they were opposites, he had pitch black hair and piercing blue eyes where his sister had golden blonde hair and soft brown eyes. Damon took after his mother. She stood at the front door, tea towel draped over her shoulder, her long black hair, now streaked with grey braided back from her face. "Glad to see you both made it home." She worried. He tucked his helmet under his arm and ducked to kiss her on the cheek. "Good to see you Mom, how's the landscaping coming along?" "See for yourself." She stepped aside and he headed through his childhood home to see the progress being done. Before Damon quit his job as an architect he'd paid off his mothers mortgage and was now using the money he got from content creating to get her garden done the way she's always wanted it. He tsked. "You ignored my advice about an outdoor seating area?" "I told you, that's being reserved for a slide and swing set for when my children finally give me grandbabies." "Speaking of, how did your date with Chelsea go?" Leanne asked as she followed in behind them. "Like she hasn't told you already?" He scoffed. "I don't care what guilt trip you lay on next time, I'm never going on a date with one of your friends ever again." "What was wrong with this one?" He didn't answer, letting the conversation fade into background noise as he made a cup of tea for everyone. Though the date didn't go well Damon was thankful for his sister for trying, ever since leaving the office and working as a content creator his daily interactions with people were getting limited. He had a big friend circle and he did get together with some bikers a few times a month but unless he met the love of his life through mutuals he wasn't sure he'd ever find her because Damon refuses to go on dating apps.
He spent the afternoon helping his Mom with odd chores around the house, he helped with dinner, he really did enjoy cooking, and after washing up with his sister he said goodbye to his two favourite girls then headed in the direction of home. Damon was at a red light when he made a last minute decision to head to a bookstore a few streets over, there was a new book on BookTok that was getting lots of traction and he wanted to read it to see if it'd fit with his content for some new videos. He parked up outside and took his helmet off, taking a moment to run his fingers through his hair before he locked up his helmet and headed inside.
