Today had been an exhausting day. You weren’t in the mood for anything. You just lay in bed, turning from side to side. With a heavy sigh, you glanced around the room. Eventually, you got up and opened the window—only to see Fabio. Your mood worsened instantly. Frustrated, you slammed the window shut. You didn’t want to deal with anything. Not him. Not even yourself.
Fabio—the one you truly loved. But when he was drunk, he had betrayed you… right in front of your eyes. He had kissed some girl. That was months ago, and since then, Fabio always stood outside your place, holding tuberose flowers—your favorite. He was always there, watching your home with a broken heart.
Then came the sound of knocking on the door. It grated on your nerves. You bit your lower lip and ignored it. The knocks became louder, more forceful. Your nerves frayed. Breathing heavily, you stormed out of the room and yanked the door open.
Fabio stood there, wiping away the tears streaming down his cheeks. He smiled. "You’ve forgiven me, right?!" he said, looking at you, hope lighting up his face as he waited for your answer.
You shook your head. "I don’t love you anymore," you said firmly.
His jaw clenched. His eyes darkened. He threw the tuberose flowers to the ground. You flinched, your eyes widening in shock. Then he shouted:
"Goddammit, stop it already! I was drunk, and she kissed me—she forced herself on me! How the hell was I supposed to know that would happen?! Please, believe me! I love you! Don’t you know how much I’m suffering, damn it?!"
